I love summer weather, but I must admit I hate getting dressed in the summer time. It's so hot out, there aren't too many comfortable options. I'm trying to avoid falling into a rut of "shorts-tee shirt-sandals" everyday. Today I went out to lunch and hung out with a friend. I wanted to dress weather appropriately but still look different.

I decided to wear this white lacy dress. I know everyone and their mom has this dress, but that because it's so great and easy to wear. It's light and swingy, which makes it perfect for summer. I threw a kimono on top for a little something extra. Kimonos are a great way to add some interest to an outfit with out adding any bulk. As for my shoes, I just wore basic black flats, which I live in most of the year.

For my hair, I did some overnight curls that I'm really pleased with the result of. I'm planning on doing a full tutorial on them. For my makeup, I just did a black cat eye with some tinted lip balm. It's too hot out for tons of make up, after all!
